As an intern in the Front Office of Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, you are responsible for the guest’s first impression of the hotel. You are the guest’s first moment of contact at entering and are therefore, representative of the entire hotel. Your daily tasks include welcoming and corresponding with our guests, as well as checking the guests in- and out. You are also responsible for the telephone and the cash-register. You provide our guests with the right information and know how to leave a professional first impression.
Flexibility, team spirit, motivation and teamwork are important elements of your function. You show a big interest in the organisation and its services, and you work with passion and enthusiasm.

Flexibility is an important characteristic within the hospitality industry. The Front Office has a variety of shifts during the day. There is a morning shift (7:00-15:36), an evening shift (14:45-23:21), and an in-between shift (diverse hours).
Working in hospitality is a challenge. A challenge that requires passion and motivation, just like determination and discipline. This includes working during holidays and in weekends during large events.
