Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin is looking for new energy

One of the most important, but certainly the most fun department in the hotel is The Housekeeping. In a changing team ranging from 30 to 60 men depending on the season, we ensure 100% guest satisfaction when it comes to cleaning.

  • General service – public areas Housekeepers
  • Room ladies and gentlemen – room cleaning
  • Turn down service – getting room ready for the night
  • Minibar – drinks in the room
  • Linen room – laundry and stock management
  • Supervisors – checking rooms

TO DO during a work week:

  • Creating the schedules of Housekeeping colleagues
  • Planning at daily, weekly and monthly levels; which facility and cleaning tasks are performed when. This is separate from the daily
  • Ensuring that the right items are purchased and stock is kept in order
  • Preparing the special requests of our guests who arrive
  • Managing our linen for 254 rooms and facilities: think large and small towels, bedding, tablecloths, etc.
  • Managing corporate clothing for colleagues in the hotel
  • Managing the in-house laundry and processing guest laundry

MATCH made in heaven:

  • Do you have a sense of humour and you’re sociable, because that’s what our colleagues love.
  • Basically a facilities jack-of-all-trades and you do this together with our Executive Housekeeper.
  • Managing 60 people is not easy, so we ask for relevant management experience, preferably with a facilities background.
  • Are you a team builder and do you ensure that the teams enjoy coming to work every day?
  • Are you sociable, decisive and have a sense of responsibility
  • Are you helpful and hospitable and always have an alternative for our guests? (because we don’t like saying no)
  • Good communication and administrative skills and a good command English language. (Dutch is not a pre)
  • Are you a go-getter who likes order and tidiness, then maybe this position is for you?

Working hours:

If you have a party or other appointments, ideal! We work a changing schedule, which could be in the morning or in the afternoon and also at weekends, so plenty of room to have time for your social calendar. The earliest shifts start at 7:30 and the latest end at 23:00.

Since 1887, Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin has been welcoming guests on the beach of Noordwijk aan Zee. With its rich existence of over 135 years, it has now grown into a five-star deluxe hotel with various facilities. The hotel has three restaurants; Breakers Beach House, Michelin star Restaurant Latour and Brasserie La Terrasse. We also have a Van Diepeningen Lounge and the Terrace Bar is open in the spring and summer months. It’s a palette of colourful concepts served from four cuisines. We also have our Banqueting kitchen that serves dishes for beautiful parties and celebrations, as well as serving fresh breakfast to our guests every day.
