TO DO during a work week:
As a manager in the Front Office, your duties consist of:

– Administrative tasks such as preparing shift handovers, writing daily reports and taking care of financial administration of your shift.
– Welcoming, checking in and checking out guests;
– Giving briefing and being aware of events and activities in and around the hotel;
– Processing payments using the cash register system and the final correct processing of these payments (including maintaining the cash register);
– Nothing is too crazy! Providing service, such as providing wake-up service, receiving and passing on messages, complaints, etc;
– Taking care of issuing and collecting keys;
– Monitor and be alert to hotel entrances and security;
– Calling up colleagues (including in the event of emergencies) in consultation with the Front Office Manager;
– Ensuring correct working practices during the shifts of receptionists, baggage handlers and concierges;                                                                                                                                                      – – Liaise with Housekeeping in relation to guest requests, late departures, day use rooms and early arrivals;
– Reporting relevant information to the Front Office Manager;
– Front Office administration;
– In absence, replacing Reservations Officer;
– Preparing for arriving and departing guests.
– You will be responsible for everything that happens at the Front Office;
– You check arrivals and departures daily, making the necessary preparations;
– You ensure that your colleagues can do their jobs properly;

You meet or mostly master the following points:

– You have previous experience in a managerial position. This is a requirement.
– You already have at least three years of Front Office experience in a five-star hotel;
– You have at least MBO-4 working and thinking level;
– You have proven leadership skills;
– You are hospitable, representative, well-mannered and eager to learn;
– You are easy to communicate with guests and colleagues;
– You feel at home in a service-oriented environment;
– You are willing to work evening and weekend shifts and have no 9 to 5 mentality;
– You are motivated, ambitious and not afraid of a challenge;
– You have a professional and service-oriented attitude;
– You have a good command of English and German (Dutch is not a pre);
– You have basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

What are your working hours?
As a Front Office team leader, it is important that you are flexible. At the Front Office, there are two shifts during a day: a morning shift (7:00 – 15:36) and an evening shift (14:45 – 23:21).
